What is Powwer Bhangra

Powwer Bhangra, is a form of dancercise specially designed by Ahlaam Ali, a dance and fitness enthusiast from the UK.

Having trained in the UK Ahlaam wanted to create a programme that would provide an overall aerobic workout whilst incorporating the various fun and lively aspects of the Bhangra moves.

The music carefully chosen to fit the various tempos throughout the workout, creates a vivacious ambience which gets the participants moving involuntarily!! It is meant to provide an intensive workout whilst having a ball!!

Bhangra is basically a free style dance form which depicts its celebratory origins from Punjab in North India. To tailor the sessions to the participants, a part of the session consists of choreography followed by an intense freestyle session which is designed to allow you to get in touch with your musical innerself.

If you are one of those who has a low boredom threshold, then head out for the Powwer Bhangra sessions and sweat it out to the Ballay Ballay beats!!

You do not need any prior experience of doing the Bhangra dance. All levels of fitness are welcome.
